Ball and Expo Seeks Talented Artists for Erotic Arts Festival San Francisco, CA - September 26, 2008: Perry Mann’s 29th Annual Exotic Erotic Ball and Expo, the internationally acclaimed Celebration of Flesh, Fetish, and Fantasy, and - according to E! Entertainment TV - “The World’s #1 Wildest and Sexiest Party,” has announced that it will produce the largest-ever Erotic Arts Festival in San Francisco Bay history this Halloween. The arts festival will become part of an “Exotic Erotic” weekend of themed entertainment scheduled for October 24 and 25, 2008 on Treasure Island. “I am hereby issuing an open call for all talented Bay Area artists whose work skews toward the erotic, exotic, sexy, and bizarre to please submit their work for consideration,” says founder Perry Mann. “To kick-start the process, I am bringing in Pricasso, the Penis Painter, all the way from Australia. As I personally own a penis, I can attest that it’s difficult enough getting it to pee properly. This guy paints masterpieces. That tells you how special he is, and just how special this show will be. It’s just another way for us to celebrate freedom of expression, and while we’re at it, we get to show the world how much artistic talent there is in the San Francisco Bay Area.” To facilitate entry for artists, the Exotic Erotic Ball will subsidize between $500 and $1,000 against exhibiting costs for qualified Bay Area artists, up to a maximum total subsidy of $50,000. There are no application fees for artists, and there is no commission paid so that artists retain 100% of all their sales. Artists chosen to exhibit will be showcasing their skill to a large adoring public – well over 20,000 people annually attend the Exotic Erotic Expo and Exotic Erotic Ball. Categories sought include drawings, paintings, sculpture, photography, wood, glass, metal, mixed media, ceramics, and the impossible-to-categorize. Performance art and oversized installations are welcome. Artists from everywhere may qualify to participate. Through its unique combination of mixing live mainstream musical, burlesque, and circus performances with political irreverence, humorous hi-jinks, and the bizarre, the Exotic Erotic Ball has been called “The World’s #1 Wildest and Sexiest Party” by E! Entertainment TV, the “#1 Adult Festival in the World,” by AskMen.com, and one of the “69 Sexiest Things to Do Before You Die,” by Playboy TV. The two-day Expo is open Friday, October 24, 2008 from 2PM to 10PM, and on Saturday, October 25, 2008, from Noon to 6PM. The Ball opens October 25 from 8PM to 2AM.
